Pac Western Builders features a long standing team of ticketed carpenters with a combined total of more than 84 years of experience in the field. Our team is comprised of journeymen red seal carpenters who know their trade and love what they do.

ED OLTHOF
Ed Olthof is the Director of Pac Western Builders, providing executive oversight and strategic leadership across residential, commercial, and development projects.
From complex custom homes to large-scale commercial regenerations, Ed has built his career on an uncompromising commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and client service.
After spending the first decade of his career in Vancouver, Ed relocated to Nelson in 1994 to establish his own construction company. Over the past three decades, he has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality projects supported by disciplined execution and long-standing trade relationships.

JUDITH BARNABY
Judith leads project management and commercial operations for Pac Western Builders. Over the past five years in this role, she has overseen contract administration, procurement strategy, budget development and financial controls, subtrade negotiations, schedule management, and regulatory coordination across residential and commercial construction projects.
She works closely with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and funding partners to ensure projects are delivered with disciplined execution and full transparency. Her structured, systems-driven approach supports clear communication, risk management, and strong financial oversight from pre-construction through completion.
Drawing on a diverse professional background in operations, organizational leadership, and stakeholder coordination, Judith brings a comprehensive and detail-oriented perspective to construction management.
