Pacific West Builders features a long standing team of ticketed carpenters with a combined total of more than 84 years of experience in the field. Our team is comprised of journeymen red seal carpenters who know their trade and love what they do.

From stunning new builds to extensive commercial regenerations, Ed has built a career and reputation based on an uncompromising approach to quality & service.

After spending the first ten years of his career in Vancouver, Ed moved to Nelson in 1994 to launch his own construction company. Over the next 26 years, his work helped to solidify his position as the premier custom home builder in the region.
​
Active in his community and within his profession, Ed is the past president of the Nelson & District Chamber of Commerce, past Chair of the City of Nelson Advisory Commission, member of The City of Nelson Housing Committee and member of the Canadian Home Builders Association of BC.
PROJECT MANAGER
MIKE COEN
At Pacific West Builders, Project Manager Mike is responsible for total project management including controlling budgets, negotiating subcontracts, and providing day-to-day communication with the project team to ensure jobs remain on schedule and within budget. A team player, Mike holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, architects, and engineers, resulting in successful construction experiences.
